Welcome to Subject:CINEMA MICRO Focus! Each week, hosts TC Kirkham
and Kim Brown will take on a single film and analyze it front to
back, side to side, and everything in-between!
THIS WEEK: Two distinct films from one original film - the original Japanese film that created a new genre of film, and the American film that was "americanized" because studios thought no one would watch a film with a predominately Japanese cast so soon after World War II without something american to hold on to. People joke about them, but the originals - BOTH of them - are actually fine films, and we'll look at them one by one and then in comparison. This week, it's "Gojira" and it's American child, "Godzilla, King Of The Monsters"
